Can I use my keyboard after closing DarkBeacon.AI?
Yes.
DarkBeacon keyboards can function as standard keyboards without keeping DarkBeacon.AI open. Supported settings that have been successfully saved to the keyboard can remain active after the software is closed.
Features that depend on the app, your account, cloud services, or AI require DarkBeacon.AI or an internet connection when applicable.
Does DarkBeacon.AI require an internet connection?
Not for every function.
After installation, supported local device configuration can continue to work without an internet connection. However, internet access is required for features such as sign-in, cloud sync, AI features, Store, Community, downloads, purchases, and diagnostic uploads.
If an online service is unavailable, your supported local device settings remain separate.
Does DarkBeacon.AI support macOS?
Yes. DarkBeacon.AI supports macOS on Apple Silicon Macs.
Intel-based Macs are not currently supported. If you are using an Intel Mac, the keyboard may still function as a standard keyboard, but DarkBeacon.AI cannot be used to configure it.
DarkBeacon.AI also supports Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Does it work with Chromebook?
DarkBeacon keyboards can be used as standard keyboards with compatible Chromebook devices, but DarkBeacon.AI is not currently available for ChromeOS.
Advanced settings that require DarkBeacon.AI should be configured on a supported Windows or Apple Silicon Mac first. Compatibility may vary depending on the Chromebook, connection, and feature being used.
