You do not need a DarkBeacon device to participate. Play in the Visitor Group or connect your DarkBeacon device for the Device Group. Both groups have their own rankings and prizes.
How to Join
Get set up in a few steps, then start chasing your best score.
Sign in
Use your DarkBeacon account to enter the challenge.
Open Rhythm Challenge
In the app: Device Center → Key Sound Albums → Rhythm Challenge. You can also enter through the Community season card or play directly on the web.
Play a level
Earn at least 1 star to clear a level; up to 3 stars are available. Use the in-game key-mapping option to customize the layout if needed.
Improve & share
Play again to beat your level best. Your completed run is scored and reflected in the leaderboard; you can share results in the community.

Levels open in stages, with higher difficulty as you advance. Clear the milestone levels to qualify for Energy rewards.

Use your daily chances wisely—or exchange Energy for additional plays.

Your best result from each level contributes to your overall season score.
Signed-in players who are not using a connected DarkBeacon device.
Signed-in players with a DarkBeacon device connected.
Both groups have independent top-100 rankings. You may appear in both groups if you qualify for both during the season.
- Season score: Sum of your highest recorded score for each of the 10 levels—not your best single run.
- Tie-break: If totals are equal, the player who reached that score first ranks higher.
- Practice: Free Practice results are excluded from the rankings.
- Updates: Leaderboards refresh every 10 minutes.
- Integrity: Scripts, macros and other detected irregular scoring may lead to loss of Season 2 prize eligibility.
Season 2 Leaderboard Rewards
Each group ranks its top 100 players. The published leaderboard prizes are awarded to 1st–20th place in each group.
Winners & Prize Delivery
Results are reviewed before official winners are confirmed.
Final results will be announced in the DarkBeacon app community and the relevant Discord channel within 5 business days after the leaderboard closes, with possible holiday-related delays.
For your privacy, never share shipping addresses or personal contact information in public community comments. Follow your official winner notification instead.

Can I join without a DarkBeacon keyboard?
Yes. Sign in with your DarkBeacon account and compete in the Visitor Group. Players using a connected DarkBeacon device can compete in the Device Group.
Do I need three stars to clear a level?
No. You only need one star to clear a level. Better accuracy and more stars can help improve your score.
Can replaying a level improve my ranking?
Yes. Your highest recorded score on each level contributes to the season total.
Do unused free attempts carry over?
No. Six free attempts reset at 00:00 local time every day and do not accumulate.
Do Free Practice scores count?
No. Free Practice scores are excluded from season leaderboard rankings.
