Configure the keyboard through a direct USB connection. Complete key-travel calibration first if DarkBeacon AI requests it or if key travel appears inconsistent.
Steps

Open the connected keyboard in DarkBeacon AI and select the travel or actuation settings.

Begin with a moderate value near the middle of the available range. A value around 1.5–2.0 mm is a practical starting point when the displayed range includes it.

Apply the new value to one frequently used key or a small test group.

Test the selected keys with a deliberate press, a light tap, and normal resting finger contact.

Check for both missed input and accidental activation.

Adjust the value in small increments. Test after every change instead of changing actuation, Rapid Trigger, and advanced key behaviors at the same time.

When the result remains stable, use Save to keyboard, or the equivalent save action displayed by your version of DarkBeacon AI.

Wait for an explicit success confirmation, reconnect the keyboard once, and test the same keys again.

Deliberate presses are detected consistently, resting contact does not cause unwanted input, and the selected keys behave the same way after reconnecting.
Save the result
A live actuation change can take effect before it is stored permanently. Confirm that DarkBeacon AI reports a successful device save before disconnecting the keyboard.
Limits and cautions
Very shallow actuation settings can cause accidental input, particularly before calibration or on keys that naturally carry finger weight.
There is no single actuation value that is ideal for every keyboard, key, game, or typing style.
Recovery
Restore the affected keys to their previous stable value or to the default actuation setting.
If key behavior remains uneven, stop adjusting sensitivity and complete key-travel calibration before testing again.
